With how things are done now, we are too busy telling and selling anyone that breathes including cats and dogs, instead of proving ourselves to the right people!
How do you prove yourself?
You must educate yourself, get trained on doing the right things first!
Second, you must apply the things you've educated yourself about.
Third, never give up don't stop until you get what you want.
By the time you get finished doing all of that, you'll be attracting people to you instead of repelling people from you by chasing after them.
